The students of classes 4, 5 and 6 put up their project presentations, having received expert guidance and advice from their mentor teachers through the year.
The theme for this year was ‘The States of India”. The project was conceptualized to make the young students aware of not only India’s rich and diverse cultural heritage, but also the problems that various states faced.
Each class was divided into eight/nine teams. The teams in turn had to choose any one state for themselves. The girls and boys carried out extensive research, went on field trips and interviewed experts.
They put together a project report, a log-book and slide shows for the intra-class competitions. To bring alive the culture of their chosen state the students wore traditional dresses too and some offered traditional food! It was an enjoyable morning watching these unique and innovative presentations.
Ultimately, one team from each class was chosen, to represent their section. They were judged by esteemed judges like our Principal, Mrs Mallic Kumar, Mrs Reena Agrawal and Mr Sankara Narayanan.
It was an enriching first hand learning experience for the students and taught them responsibility and collaboration while working as a team.
